Moraine Park

Slow on the blog posts due to lack of internet or reliable cell phone coverage.  But hey, when you're communing with nature, do you really need technology??  Well, yeah, I think I do.

This is our first overnight stop in the RV.  Moraine Park within Rocky Mountain National Park.  BEAUTIFUL!

It's dry camping -- for you non-RVers, that means no hookups.  No water, no electric, no sewer.  Don't be too impressed with us -- these motorhomes have all the bells and whistles -- it's hardly tent camping.

Aaron is a tree climber.  The pine you see him in is where he spent most of his time.

Logan is loving it, and couldn't be happier since Megan and Sam are along on the trip.

That's Longs Peak in the background of these shots.  14,259 feet.  Quite a sight.

Denver

After a crazy week at work leading up to our Saturday departure, we still made it to Denver in one....long.....boring.....haul across Kansas.

I have no idea how we traveled as children without all of our iDevices to occupy our minds.  And not to mention GPS!  How did my parents get us around on vacation with only Rand McNally???

We did stop at Goodland, KS for a quick fast food supper last night.  I remembered staying in Goodland many decades ago on our way to Colorado, and the dust storm that hit after we checked into the hotel.  I had never seen anything like it.

So....we're in Denver today.  No clue what we're going to do.  Making it up as we go along.

Picking up the RV tomorrow morning at Road Bear rental, and then it's off to the Rocky Mountains we go!
